Dansville Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

Welcome to the GSRP Classroom!

We are thrilled you are considering our preschool for your little one. This option partners with the Great Start Readiness Program, free or reduced tuition is available for children who qualify. We are a full-day program that runs Monday-Thursday. 

Our GSRP classroom offers an engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, develop friendships, and discover new skills. Our staff is committed to a common desire for excellence in meeting the needs of children and their families. The GSRP preschool is taught by Charlotte Birmingham, who is partnered with a qualified assistant, ensuring a ratio of one adult to every eight children. 

Registration may be completed online, via the Ingham County preschool website. 

Charlotte Birmingham has been working in education since 2017. She attended Western Michigan University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education as well as her elementary certification. She began teaching preschool in Grand Rapids and then worked for GSRP in Oakland County. She was then hired as a Kindergarten teacher before moving to Dansville. She loves calling Dansville her home & working with our youngest Aggies!

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, going up north in the summer, and swimming. She has recently begun a new hobby of fruit & vegetable gardening at her home. In her preschool classroom, the students enjoy the large collection of plants!

Jeannie Kapp attended Western Michigan University and studied child and family development. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2021. Miss K's journey began with working at child development centers until she returned to Dansville Schools. This is her second year working at Dansville Elementary School as an associate teacher in the Great Start Readiness Program. 

Jeannie grew up in Dansville, Michigan with her two sisters. She enjoys traveling and playing euchre with her family. Jeannie also coaches soccer and likes attending sporting events.
