The Junior Varsity home game against Sarnac has been canceled. Sarnac had a number of injuries and are no longer able to field a JV team. The JV team will now travel to New Lothrop on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 PM. Here are directions to New Lothrop High School: New Lothrop High School

Our boys soccer team had a busy week hosting Corunna on Monday (loss), traveling to and beating Stockbridge 3-2 on Thursday, and hosting the Dansville Invitational on Saturday (4th place). Cross Country was successful at the Eaton Rapids Invitational: all of our runners medaled – including a first place finish from Anthony Mack in the Freshman division. JV and Varsity Volleyball hosted their CMAC home opener against Bath (loss). JV Girls finished 2nd at the Perry JV Invitational, and our Varsity team played hard at the Blissfield Invitational. Our JV Football team traveled to Fulton and lost against a tough opponent. Our Varisty Football team moved to 3-0 (2-0 CMAC) after pounding Fulton 48-12.

With the start of a new school year, Aggies student athletes are now working hard in the classroom and on the practice field. That hard work paid off as both JV and Varsity football teams moved 2-0 picking up wins over Potterville.
JV and Varsity Volleyball dropped a pair of matches against PW and Williamston. JV Volleyball made it all the way to the Gold Quarter Finals going 1-1-2.

Due to severe weather, the Varsity Football game vs. Potterville has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 6th at 3:00 PM. The game will still take place at Potterville High School.

Nick Moon was named the Big 10 Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week! Nick Moon is now a Sophomore at MSU, and he holds the Dansville Cross Country time record. Congratulations to Nick. Way to represent the Dansville Aggies.

LA Dragons will now host the Dansville Aggies Boys Soccer Team on October 9 at 5:30 PM. The game was originally scheduled as a home game, but we had to change sites to accommodate the Dragons. The game will take place at:

Due to the high probability of rain tomorrow, Meet the Aggies has been rescheduled to Monday, August 25 at 6:00 PM at Fuller Field. Please join us for free food provided by the boosters. At 6:30 we will introduce our fall sports teams, learn the fight song, and do other Aggie-spirit related activities! We look forward to seeing you on Monday. Go Aggies!

Another sports season is upon us! For all students interested in participating in one of our fall sports, the practice schedule is listed below. Please remember you must have a physical on file to participate. Physicals can be given to your coach or dropped off at the Athletic Department. Participation fees will be collected at Registration Day on Tuesday, August 19.
Football – Monday, August 11 – Friday: 8am-1pm. Helmets, shorts, and cleats will be worn Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Pads will be added Thursday and Friday! Season shorts & t-shirts should be available on Wednesday ($20).
Boys Soccer – First practice Wednesday, August 13. Two-a-day schedule through Friday, August 22: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM-10 AM AND 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Tuesday/Thursday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Shorts, t-shirt, and cleats.
Cross Country – Wednesday, August 13. 6:00 PM – 8:00PM; Saturday 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Bring running shoes, athletic shorts and shirt.
Volleyball – Wednesday, August 13 – Friday: 5:30 PM-8:00 PM. Attendance at all practices are mandatory for high school tryouts. Varsity will be attending a scrimmage on Saturday as part of the tryout. Parent/player meeting on Tuesday, August 12 at 6:00 PM at the High School Commons.
Meet the Aggies will be Tuesday, August 19 starting at 6:00PM. This year’s Meet the Aggies will give you the opportunity to meet our student-athletes, and even challenge them in some fun, friendly competition! If you have any questions, contact the Athletic Department at 623-6120 ext. 312.

We are excited to announce that Justin Thorington will be our Secondary Athletic Director. Mr. Thorington, a native of Traverse City, joins us from Tallahassee, FL where he served as President of the Tallahassee Soccer Association. During his time as President, he worked hard to overhaul the league’s administrative processes while also increasing the accessibility of the league for players of all skill levels. Mr. Thorington has always wanted to work in athletics because he is passionate about the life-long lessons that can be taught through sports. To support this passion, he earned a BA in Sport Management and a MA in Education Administration with a focus on School Principalship. In addition to his professional and educational experiences, Mr. Thorington coached wrestling in both Traverse City and Tallahassee. He is excited to spread his energy and enthusiasm for Aggie Athletics to Dansville students, parents, teachers, and community members! Go Aggies!
