Honors Club

As a member of the club students are asked to maintain a “B” in all core classes and a “B” grade point average overall.  If one of their grades should fall below a “B” you will have one nine week period to raise your grade back up.  Should they fail to do this they will be asked to resign.  Members are also required to maintain a satisfactory or better in their citizenship for all their classes. Lastly, members will be asked to perform service projects in order to earn their Honors Club pin. We will also have some school wide events to participate in as a group. This next year students will need to have 20 points (one point per service hour) by June 1.  New points must be earned each year they are a member of the Honors Club. Dansville Middle School honors club has been a club available for students for approximately 8 years.

We will educate and help them achieve to the best of their abilities while fostering positive social and emotional growth. Through parental involvement and support, we will strive to help students become responsible and educated individuals.

Our learning community provides students with an extremely talented teaching staff, a variety of learning opportunities and an opportunity to grow and challenge themselves. Our hope is that students leave Dansville Middle School empowered to stay intellectually engaged, instilled with behaviors in keeping with responsible citizenship and the initiative necessary to become the best person they can.

This year we will continue to implement Positive Behavioral and Intervention Support Program (PBIS). It will also incorporate our SOAR (Safety, Organization, Attitude and Responsibility) character building program to all students.
