The mobile dentist will be visiting Dansville Middle School on Friday June 1, 2012. If you are interested in having your student visit the mobile dentist please contact the middle school office.
There will be a meeting for 7th and 8th grade parents to learn more about the ACT Explorer results. This meeting will be on Tuesday May 29th at 6:30 p.m..
All schedule requests will be due Thursday May 17, 2012.
The 2012-13 school calendar is now available.
Freshman orientation will be Wednesday May 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the high school commons.
Dansville is partnering with Mason Schools to present an Anti- Bullying and Bully Prevention session for parents. This session will be May 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Mason High School Auditorium. The presenter will be Kevin Honeycutt who is nationally known.
The middle school parent/teacher conferences will be March 7th and 8th from 4-7 p.m. in the middle school gym. The following shared teachers will be at the middle school conferences on the following days: March 7th - Jessica Rusch, Cory Ross, Allyson Bush, March 8th-Kelli Helgeson, Lauren Engler, Brittiany Sandford, and Allyson Bush.
DMS students had an opportunity to commit to make our school a better place by always using positive talk. All of our middle school Aggies chose to participate, and signed the “Positive Talk Pledge” banner and wear a wrist band to show their support.
Dansville Middle School was the runner-up for the Michigan Back to School Football Friday contest sponsored by the NFL. Students in Mrs. Genter’s PE class created a video of student participation in the Fall Fuel Up to Play 60 Day and participated in follow-up activities, which qualified Dansville for the competition. The school has been awarded two $100 gift cards to the NFL Shop and a football autographed by the Lions’ Ndamukong Suh. Congratulations!
The staff of Dansville Middle School is committed to providing a program for successful learning in a positive environment to meet the needs of all students. We will educate and help them achieve to the best of their abilities while fostering positive social and emotional growth. Through parental involvement and support, we will strive to help students become responsible and educated individuals.
Our learning community provides students with an extremely talented teaching staff, a variety of learning opportunities and an opportunity to grow and challenge themselves. Our hope is that students leave Dansville Middle School empowered to stay intellectually engaged, instilled with behaviors in keeping with responsible citizenship and the initiative necessary to become the best person they can.
In order to continue with our mission, Dansville Middle School staff is consistently working to update and change programs.
This year we will continue to implement Positive Behavioral and Intervention Support Program (PBIS). This system includes a specific behavior matrix that is used to teach students the expected behaviors. It will also incorporate our SOAR (Safety, Organization, Attitude and Responsibility) character building program to all students.
