Course Description:
First year introductory Physical Education and Health is a one credit course that consists of a variety of skills and sports that will enable students to have a competent level of fitness, motor skills, sportsmanship, and general knowledge of techniques, strategies, and rules involved with team and lifetime sports. The P.E. course work is comprised of participation, unit performance tests, fitness testing, written tests, and proper attire daily. The following activities that are offered include: fall and spring fitness testing, soccer, flag football, archery, volleyball, basketball, bowling, weight training, badminton, table tennis, golf, tennis, stunts and tumbling, and softball. Calisthenics, stretching, and running are used to start each class. Field trips are also exercised when applicable.

Course Title: 11/12 GRADE PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Course Description:
This is an advanced class with all of the activities of the Freshman/Sophomore P.E. class, but with a greater emphasis on the strategies, rules, and further individual development of their sports and skill levels.
This class is available to any 11th or 12th grader who has successfully completed Freshman/Sophomore Co-Ed. P.E. or who is involved in the Dansville Athletic program.

Objectives:
- Learn proper techniques for a wide variety of lifts and exercises
- Improve strength, speed, and flexibility through specific training methods
- Gain exposure to various weight training methods including: heavy weights, circuit weights, and alternative progressive resistance methods.
