FFA
The Dansville school system began as, and still is, an agricultural school, so it only makes sense that we were among the first to adopt an FFA organization in 1930, after the group was founded in 1928. One of the most common questions we get is, "What does FFA stand for?" The answer isn't quite as simple as it would seem. It used to stand for Future Farmers of America, but now it has grown into so much more than that, so the symbolic FFA is merely that, a symbol, that represents one of the nation's largest and most successful youth organizations.
The Dansville Chapter currently has approximately 23 active high school members, and one middle school member. Throughout the year, the chapter members do a variety of character building activities including, State and National Convention, Poultry Contest, Supervised Agricultural Projects, Regional Leadership Contests, Skills Contest at MSU, the Ingham County Fair, Bowling, Officer Camp, Leadership Camp, Baseball games at Olds Park, and much more.
