The Dansville National Honor Society is a strong organization. The group is involved in many positive activites throughout the year. In order to maintain an acceptance into the Dansville NHS students must have completed 25 volunteer hours by the time of the Induction ceremony on May 20th. This year students will volunteer at Soup kitchens, DNR, The Festival of Trees, Mason Animal Shelter, WKAR and work at the quizbowl competition. Every year the NHS has an annual food drive around November to give families a nice Thanksgiving. There were also many chances for students to work at home games. This spring the DNR is asking for the National Honor Societies help again. The members will also be working at the 3rd annual Powder Tuff Game the 28th of February.
The Induction Ceremony/Assembly will be held on Wed. May 20th during school. This is a chance for a few students to give speeches on the basics of NHS Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. The new memebers will participate in the candle lighting ceremony and take the oath. After-wards all the memebers new and old get the chance to go out to lunch.
