Home Strategies to Help Auditory Processing
1. Keep directions or commands short and simple.
2. Use visuals or gestures at home to compensate for listening difficulties.
3. Keep a written schedule of the day. This is a good habit to start now and continue as a school planner in the fall.
4. Reduce background noise if people are talking. If you are really not watching the TV, turn it off.
