Grade Scale

I’ve received a few questions about final grades being a number grade instead of a letter grade. This is due to the new grading system many teachers in both the middle school and high school have adopted recently. It still has the traditional percentages, but our grades are now based on a 4 point rubric. To see the grade scale and how it relates to the percentages and letter grades that have been previously used, click HERE. The 4 point rubric used can be found HERE and on the 8th grade Pre-Algebra pages. If you have any questions about your student’s grade and how it’s calculated, feel free to contact me. Thanks!

*Remember, grades are based on work habits until the first summative assessment (unit test) has been graded. Then the summative assessment will equate to 90% of their final grade, while work habits are 10% of their final grade.
