Superintendent of the Dansville Schools
The Dansville Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Ron Stoneman as the Superintendent of the Dansville Schools. Mr. Stoneman comes to the district with administrative experience having served as Superintendent of the Walkerville Public Schools for the past 4 years.
The in-depth selection process included: Meetings with community members, staff members and Board Members to highlight desirable characteristics for the Superintendent. The Board reviewed 24 resumes, selecting six candidates to be interviewed. Three finalists returned to the district to meet with sub-groups throughout each of three days. At the end of each day, the Board conducted a final interview with the candidate.
In addition to the final interview with Ron Stoneman, a committee of Board Members, a staff member and a parent visited the Walkerville School District to speak with district residents and staff members concerning the skills Mr. Stoneman exhibits in that district.
We welcome Ron, his wife Jennifer and their 3 children to our community. The family plans to relocate to the district following the sale of their home in the Walkerville area.
