We want to invite you and every Aggie to the Ceremonial Groundbreaking event that will take place to celebrate the beginning of Dansville Schools’ bond construction and remodeling projects. To emphasize the impact this will have on every student here, we have purposefully scheduled this ceremony to take place during the school day to ensure that all students will be able to participate. This historical event will take place on Friday, April 21 at 2 pm at the site of the new high school.
We have also provided two ways for our students to have bigger roles in this historical event. First, all students are invited to submit a 30s – 1 min written speech describing what it means to be an Aggie. These speeches will be turned in to each school office by Monday, April 10th for the chance to be chosen to present the speech during the groundbreaking ceremony.
Written submissions will be reviewed and students will be selected to present their speeches to a panel and then as a result of this process, it is our hope that one lower elementary, one upper elementary, one middle and one high school student will be selected to speak at the ceremony.
If students are not interested in giving a speech, maybe they would like to hold one of the special shovels at the groundbreaking ceremony! Starting tomorrow, March 28th, students will have the chance to put their Aggie Bucks into a drawing to receive a special t-shirt and be the holder of the special shovel to represent their grade level at the groundbreaking ceremony. Aggie Bucks will be collected until Friday, April 14th when names will be chosen at noon.
Again, our groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Friday, April 21 at 2 pm at the site of the new high school. We want as many Aggies to be there as possible, so please help us spread the word.
